The Erasmus+ program "Differences Make Us Colourful" was held in Cusano Mutri, Italy, from 21st to 25th October 2024. Each day began with students arriving at school by bus or with their host families.
On Monday, 21st October, the activities commenced with lessons in the host school's classrooms, followed by a warm welcome ceremony. Host students gave presentations, and participants toured the school. The e-Twinning project was launched, and teachers enjoyed a coffee break while students engaged in ice-breaking games like the Ball Game and "Who Are You?" The host school presented "Piccola Macchia," emphasizing tolerance. After lunch, a tolerance workshop was organized as a treasure hunt in Cusano, and students reflected on the day by writing in their journals. The evening ended with a welcome party.
On Tuesday, 22nd October, the day began with a trust game for students, followed by visits to the primary school in San Felice for both students and teachers. While teachers had coffee and free time, students participated in activities at the primary school and later hiked in the forest. A creative drama workshop in nature added to the experience. After lunch, Chiara Puglia and teacher Maria Concetta Petrillo led a drama-writing workshop. Each school performed a short drama (10 minutes maximum) on the theme of tolerance, and students concluded the day with journal reflections.
On Wednesday, 23rd October, participants took a day trip to the Caserta Royal Palace, exploring the museum and engaging in a drama workshop there.
On Thursday, 24th October, students warmed up with "Spin the Wheel" before visiting the primary school in Civitella. Coffee breaks for teachers and icebreaker activities like "Colored Ribbons" for students followed. A bee workshop focused on honey production was also held. After lunch, the students created tableaux vivants, with the Italian school performing Leonardo da Vinci's "Last Supper," and other schools presenting living pictures inspired by their cultural art traditions. The day concluded with a cultural evening where participants shared items representing their countries, sang, and danced according to their traditions.
Finally, on Friday, 25th October, the program wrapped up with a closing certificate ceremony at the nursery school. Teachers enjoyed a coffee break while students wrote their final journal reflections. The Turkish team departed by bus at 11:30, while Polish teachers traveled to Telese Terme with their Italian colleagues.
